Im a traveling man

This week has been so difficult. I am finally getting to go home today from a very long week on the rez. I put in so much driving this week that I really have to add it up to see how many hours I drove. 13 hours of driving this week!
I also found out that I did not get the job that I for sure had, I started crying on site on Friday. I was so tired from the week already, and just couldn't take the bad news. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be. Luckily my wise advisor (My PI at my site who Ive gotten very close to), had a lot of great advise.
Friday night luckily we got into Albuquerque with time to eat dinner and we ate at this delicious Indian restaurant. YUMMY!
I am ready to be home....sit on a patio...and play with my dog. I will be happy when all three of those things are met.

So updates on the wedding: I chose flowers and everything already. The colors have no gone to white, red and black. Haha...I know! I got my invitations in the mail the other day and Matt says that they look great. Now I have to order my favors and I am pretty much all set. YAY!

I am trying to get my parents and Matt's parents to give me their guest lists...I know the invitations are going to take a long time to address!

Happiness is wanting what you got, not getting what you want.

The big Two-Seven

So in honor of my new toenail color, I am choosing to write this blog in purple (Thanks Nikki:)).  I cannot believe that the Winter vacation is over and I have to start it off with two months of traveling.  Overall I have had a wonderful break, lots of time spent with Matt and Ty!  I am such a home-body, and love to spend time relaxing (with a glass of wine or two!).

Today I got to hang out with Nikki a bit, which was great!  She got me a pedicure and coffee for my bday! So sweet!!  It was so nice nice to finally hang out, and I intend to keep it up.  Next date: pizza on a free day!

Salissa left flowers and balloons at my front door, and it totally made my day!  I love birthdays, and probably act a little childish about them, but I just love it!  This is the first year that I haven't had an angle food cake made by my Daddy...and it is kinda bumming me out.  I hate growing up!

I am totally wii-outfitted, thanks to matt, my brother and my sister.  I love it!!!  I have also dusted off my treadmill and have been using that and wii fit to start to get back into good shape!

I am going to get through these next two months, even if it kills me!
